Terms of Service for WhisperShortcut

Overview
WhisperShortcut is a macOS menu bar application that provides Speech-to-Text, Speech-to-Prompt, Read Aloud, and Prompt & Read features. By using WhisperShortcut, you agree to these terms.
Use of the App
- You may use WhisperShortcut in accordance with its documentation and in compliance with applicable laws.
- When using cloud features (e.g. Google Gemini), you are also subject to the respective provider's terms (e.g. Google Terms of Service, Google API Terms).
- You are responsible for securing your API key; do not share it with others.
Subscription and payments
You can purchase 30 days of access to cloud-based features (e.g. transcription, AI). The product is a one-time payment; there is no automatic renewal. After the 30-day period ends, access ends and no further charges are made. Prices and payment methods are shown on the subscription page. Payment processing is handled by Stripe; their terms apply to the payment transaction (Stripe legal).
Cancellation: There is no subscription with a cancellation period; access ends automatically at the end of the purchased period. If you wish to end access early, you may contact us (see Contact); no refund is given for early termination.
Refunds: No refund is given after the 30-day access has been activated. Refunds may be considered only in cases of technical impossibility or before access has been granted; contact us for such requests.
Right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the contract. For digital content supplied without tangible media, the right of withdrawal may end once you have expressly agreed that performance may begin before the withdrawal period has expired and you have acknowledged that you will lose your right of withdrawal upon such agreement. By purchasing 30-day access, you agree that access begins immediately; once access has been activated, the right of withdrawal is lost for that purchase. Limitations
- WhisperShortcut is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or third-party services.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be noted in the repository.
Dispute resolution
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (OS): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board and do not currently do so.
